Day 1: The Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade
Day 1: The Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade
The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is a tradition that to many is one of the best parts of the wonderful holiday. The first ever Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade was on November 27th, 1924. Which means that this years parade will take place just over 100 years since the first installment. On average more than 50 million people tune in to watch what is seen as a spectacle every thanksgiving morning. This years parade starts at 8:30 AM so you will have to get up early if you plan on tuning in! There will be twenty seven floats with tons of celebrities and performances throughout. Of course, the parade will conclude with Santa Clause riding on the streets of New York City which is symbolic in my opinion of the transition into the Christmas season! I highly encourage you tune into the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade as you will almost never be disappointed, and you along with the 50 million other viewers will be for at least a couple hours all be united as one community celebrating a great holiday!
